"Guys! This man in the picture has been harassing my little cousin."

“Guys. So this man in the picture has been harassing my little cousin for almost a year now. Since my family lives in the proximity of both Islaamee Marukaz and Bandaara mosque, my cousin M, frequently goes to those mosques during prayer time.

About mid last year, M comes home terrified talking about this man. M said this man harasses M on his way to the mosque. He makes comments about the way M dresses and does things like pull on my cousins shirt, pull his leg when he is in mid sajidha and pinch his legs when he is praying and uses tons of vulgar words while he speaks.

My family and I have been on a hunt for this guy for ages but we have had no luck tracking him down. M used to be a boy who always went to his prayers in the mosque. But now he is terrified because this man constantly follows, stalks and chases him. We had never seen the guy until today. What makes me more angrier than this man are the amount of other people who would have witnessed this man harass my cousin yet didn’t do anything to defend him. We have tried so hard to track down this man including camping out near the mosque but had no luck. My guess is he figured out we were looking for him.

So this evening around 4:30, me and M were on our way to STO when this man sees M and comes running at him. M saw the guy and was terrified and ran straight into the STO atm saying “Kudadhonthaa that’s the guy who harasses me on my way to the mosque”. He actually lunged at me and M!

Outraged i followed that guy and saw him enter Bandaara mosque and I ran back home to tell my family that the guy is finally in sight. Me and my family went to the mosque and when my uncle went inside the mosque to confront the guy, he freaked out and tried to run away. We immediately alerted the cops and when they came, the guy had the audacity to say that M was the one following and harassing him. Why would a 13 year old boy want to harass a man in his 70’s or 80’s?

Many bystanders near the mosque came and told us that he is a notorious pedophile who harasses and targets a lot of boys and has been banned from going to certain mosques. In fact, the caretaker of Bandaara mosque said that they’ve noticed he does that to many boys and have repeatedly told him to stop attending the mosque and go somewhere else.

First the guy started following M when he went to Islamee Marukaz. Because of this we advised M to go to Bandaara mosque. It went well before he started noticing M’s change in the mosque and now has started to follow him to Bandaara mosque too. Guys I urge you to share this so people like this man cannot target our little brothers and cousin and so that people will be more cautious when sending their kids to the mosque and other places because sadly horrible people like him exist.

We called the police and 4 officers arrived, and he had the audacity to say that M was the one harassing him. 

When we were walking to STO M didn’t even see this guy coming when this old man ran at him and chased him away saying “Kaley thihury roa oriyaamaa ennu ladheh nuganeytha beyrah dhaan” at him. M was wearing a pair of shorts that reached his ankle and a shirt that covered him very decently. What part of that is indecent! Also how dare he speak like that to my cousin!

The police notified us that this man is a mentally unstable man and we don’t quite know the action they are going to take against him. When the cops showed up he tried to run away but they caught him. We have filed a report and everything but I’m posting this to make people aware about this man because we don’t quite know what action they’ll take against him yet. Warn your cousins, nephews and little brothers people. We shouldn’t let people like this get away with harassing kids!

Don’t anybody dare bring religion into this to justify the actions of this man. M never goes to the mosque dressed indecent. A person who hinders another from praying isn’t a good Muslim.

UPDATE : JUST FOUND OUT THIS GUY PULLED ON ANOTHER KIDS EAR YESTERDAY WHEN THAT KID WAS ON HIS WAY TO THE MOSQUE TOO!

More updates : He runs from mosque to mosque doing this people. Most notorious in Maafannu and Henveiru mosques! Be careful.
